Sponge Filters offer excellent biological as well as mechanical filtration. These filters are often used to supplement the aerobic capacity of other types of filters.

Fritz Sponge Filters need no carbon or filter floss and leave no mess or odor. Sponge Filters are even safe for use with baby fish! Have an established tank that tends to get a little cloudy? Just add a Sponge Filter for continual, non-chemical water polishing.

All Fritz Sponge Filters come with sponge, stem, stem socket and core. No airstone necessary! Simply plug stem into standard airline tubing.

Fritz offers several sizes of Sponge Filters to choose from...

• For tanks 5 gallons and under, use Fritz Round Sponge Filter
• For 6-25 gallon tanks, use Fritz Triangle Sponge Filter
• For larger systems, use one Fritz Square Sponge Filter for every 35 gallons

Replacement sponges, cores & stems available for your convenience. Also available is the Fritz Square Sponge in bulk, without packaging, to save you money. Perfect for when a large quantity of sponge filters are needed and price is an issue.
