A
super-concentrated, pH buffered, sodium thiosulfate
based solution designed to remove large amounts of chlorine
and chloramine-fast! The resulting sodium (Na+) and
chloride (Cl-) ions are essential for proper osmoregulation
in fish. You only need one drop per gallon to remove
chlorine. It also detoxifies chloramine, which is formed
by bonding ammonia to chlorinated water. Chloramine
is very toxic to aquatic life. In areas with chloramine,
two drops per gallon will break the chlorine-ammonia
bond and neutralize the freed chlorine.
| FRITZ
TIP: When dechlorinating
city water, residual ammonia often remains. Fritz
Ammonia Remover should be used in this situation
to neutralize toxic ammonia prior to the introduction
of aquatic life. |
